Interior Architects
The interior designer makes the interior functional, safe and beautiful by determining space requirements and selecting decorative elements such as color and lighting. Makes interior designs, functional and aesthetic arrangements of buildings.
The responsibilities of interior architects who undertake the task of designing interior spaces that have aesthetic appeal and make the best use of the available space are as follows;
- Determining the customer's goals and the requirements of the project,
- Planning how the space will be used,
- Drawing preliminary design plans, including electrical layouts,
- Specifying materials such as lighting, wall coverings, flooring and plumbing fixtures,
- Producing sketches, drawings and floor plans to present projects using computer-aided design programs and hand drawing skills,
- Creating a timeline for the interior design project,
- Determining the project budget, including materials and labor,
- Conducting on-site observations and making recommendations to help facilitate ongoing design projects,
- Communicating with the customer after the project to ensure the customer is satisfied,
- Working collaboratively with a variety of colleagues including architects, contractors, painters, upholsterers and civil engineers,
- To follow sectoral innovations closely.
